Emerald Coast Junior Golf Tour

Exemptions and Recognition

In addition to allowing all local juniors to gain valuable tournament playing experience, the Emerald Coast Junior Golf Tour serves as a feeder tour for the FJT - Florida Junior Tour and the AJGA - American Junior Golf Association. Additionally, the results from our two day 36-hole events are forwarded to the National Junior Golf Scoreboard for inclusion in there national junior rankings.

The Florida Junior Tour STEP (Special Tournament Exemption Program) allows junior golfers to earn FJT exemptions through local and regional Florida programs. It encourages players to compete in their local and regional junior programs which serve as the backbone of junior golf in Florida.
The Emerald Coast Junior Golf Tour is the approved FJT-STEP Tour on the Emerald Coast.
FJT STEP exemptions will be awarded to the 18-hole divisional winners of the following events:
Bay Point Junior Classic
ECJGT Winter Championship at The Club at Hidden Creek
ECJGT Spring Championship at Baytowne (Notah Begay III Qualifier)
ECJGT Summer Championship at Emerald Bay GC
44th Marvin DeBolt Daily News Junior Classic
Sandestin Junior Classic at The Links
Season Champions (for the full year, following the Sandestin Junior Classic for ages 12-18)

The AJGA Performance Based Entry Status and FJT STEP exemptions do not guarantee entry into events on the respective tours. They give priority status and players also still need to join the respective Tours to utilize their exemptions.
